Harvey Hernandez | Ep. 64

Harvey Hernandez is a visionary real estate developer, innovator, and urban place maker who has been challenging the status quo in the South Florida market for more than two decades.

As CEO and founder of Newgard Development Group, Harvey has had an uncanny ability to observe the city’s tremendous capacity for change and progress.

How, you ask? Harvey was the first developer to launch major project post the 2008 financial crisis, Brickell House, and was among the first Miami developers to adopt aggressive deposit structure. He was first to include automated parking in a Miami high-rise condominium tower, only to follow that up by designing and building the first condominium tower without resident parking.

As the brainchild behind Natiivo, the first property designed, licensed and built for home-sharing, Harvey is a pioneer in the concept of flexible homeownership. His latest project, Lofty Brickell, is taking luxury home sharing to the waterfront. In just six months Lofty Brickell is already 50% sold before it officially opens the doors to its sales lounge later this month.

From starting his first business at age 17 in his native Venezuela to reshaping the skyline of sunny Miami, it’s a story of rags to richest and the relentless pursuit of innovation. It is a true Miami story.

This is Harvey Hernandez, on the record with the Miami Real Estate Podcast.
